The Cultural District of Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, is still under construction but it is home to buildings that seem brought from a future civilization. It is programmed to house a new Guggenheim (shaped like a huge pile of cubes and open cones) and the International Zayed Museum, culminating in a tangle of steel wings reminiscent of the love of falconry late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Southeast of downtown ambitious Masdar City project, designed to circulate without cars and powered by 100% renewables is located. Designed by Norman Foster, Masdar City will be an ecological model: the first in the world to a life "carbon neutral without waste".
